PLEASE SIGNAL BOOST!
The Paper Peace Project (TPPP, ペーパー・ピース・プロジェクト) is an initiative kicked off this week with the aim of drawing focus back to promoting peace and for governments to stop avoiding the issue of nuclear disarmament.
Be heard! What is peace to you? What do you envision? The project will involve 1,000 personal messages and thoughts on peace written on cranes from people all over the world. These will then be photographed, folded and then sent to the Mayor of Hiroshima, Japan for Aug 6th. The photographs of the unfolded messages will be collated into a book that embodies the wishes for peace of the people, a copy of which will be sent with the cranes (or slightly after, depending on how tight the timeframe is). Hopefully, copies will also be available for those who want to purchase them.
Take part, submit a message, share and invite! I know tumblr has a lot of good to contribute to a project like this, so please reblog and spread the word! Humanity needs to outgrow the need for petty conflict and collaborate for a better future.
